We have used El Paso for our pet care for 20 years. We have lost many pets during those years, mostly due to age, though a couple due to illness that could not be resolved. During the time between January 2016 and January 2017 we lost 3 of our dogs. The first two were 17 and had lived full lives. Both were rescues and were treated over the years by the staff at El Paso. Always with care and compassion. The third dog, Sophie, was a black lab that was only 8 years old. She contracted something that left her getting weaker and sicker by the day. She was slipping quickly. She was at the clinic for several days. On her last day, we were able to spend time with her laying in the sun, enjoying her last moments. She seemed to know. Dr Harrod allowed us time with her and then when we were ready, assisted her in moving on to the Rainbow Bridge. The compassion shown by the staff, and the care they took of our animals is why we stay with them and why I am nominating them. Please consider them for this recognition. It is well deserved and would be well received.Thank you for your time and for the opportunity for me to recognize those who care for my pets and those of the community I live in.
